Camden Town is a must visit anyone coming to London. Famous for its music, markets, food and art, there’s plenty to do, so we’ve chosen some of the highlights for your visit. Here are our top things to do in Camden Town.
1. Camden Stables Market
If there’s one thing you must see in Camden it’s the Stables Market. Vintage clothes, CD’s and vinyl, food, household items and jewellery, and that’s just to name a few. It gets its name for having once been stables to horses, and a horse hospital. Now, it’s one of the largest markets in the world. It’s also where you will find the bronze Amy Winehouse statue.
2. Shopping
Camden Town has independent shops with character. In the markets you will find trader selling clothing, antiques, fashion accessories, and more. Along the high street you will find some shops with eccentric decorations which can’t be missed. Whatever you do, make sure to visit the shops and stalls to remember your visit to Camden Town.
3. Try all the delicious food places in Camden
Camden is blessed with some of London’s best restaurants. In the Middle Yard you will find KERB Camden, where stalls are set up to serve delicious street food, from burgers, wraps and international dishes to vegan and health conscious options. Looking to sit down after all the walking? Along the high street and side streets you’ll have plenty of choice.

On your visit to Camden you’ll notice the street art, a special part of Camden’s creative scene. Look out for the graffiti from famous artists and up-and-coming. Hawley Street, Hartland Road (or Artland Road as it’s sometimes called by locals) and Jamestown Road are just some of the places to visit.
5. Music venues such as Roundhouse host live bands

For the bands about to break onto the scene visit The Dublin Castle, Camden Assembly, and Spiritual Bar. More established acts play at Roundhouse, Jazz Café, Electric Ballroom, and The Underworld.
6. Take a walk or canal boat trip down Regent’s Canal
To get away from the hustle and bustle head on down to Regent’s Canal for a quiet but beautiful walk all the way to Little Venice. You’ll walk past London Zoo and magnificent houses, and importantly take in the atmosphere that the canal offers. Even better, take a canal boat tour.
